I know that now hurricanes are striking America. I know that some of you are from America, though I'm not sure which territory they stay. So, does the hurricane strike your place? I hope you guys are OK...

I'm lucky enough not to be on the coast, but I got the after-rain bad. We were outside all day today picking up the mess it caused. But it didn't do to much, mostly knock down some old trees. Some people down the road from us had one land on their house, but that's the worse of it here.

I'm in Ohio. I guess some of Hurricane Ike went through and caused lots of rain and wind. Some trees were knocked down and some people sadly died. I wonder if that's why I couldn't sleep at all last night. I'm not sure, but I hope the hurricanes stop.~

I heard the hurricane already stopped on September 14. I'm glad that you all survived though yeah, as we might have known, some people died. I wonder if the residents should have been evacuated before the hurricane strikes.

Most of them was, but there was suspose to be one, before this one, that was suspose to be the biggest yet a week fore Ike hit so everyone evacuated and went back after at was all over. Almost no one thought Ike wasa gonna be as bad as it was though so not that many people left before it hit.

Even though our area got horrible rains from Ike's whiplash in the north, my house is not flooded (thank GOD I live on a hill) and neither is my backyard. But many areas around us got at least 8 inches of rain, and the highway was even closed for 4 days because of rain damage. I'm so thankful that we weren't hit as hard as some others were.
Wow Hestia! I didn't know you live in Ireland!! ;D
