I suppose the rain was very bad. I felt worse than that, since I live in a tropical country here. But it hasn't rained for like ages. I know this might sound weird but people here really want rain to fall.

Was it like rain for days or a very heavy rain like a storm with winds?

I had the storm and winds with my part of it. It was so bad that even though we live right next to the interstate, and I mean RIGHT next to it, there wasn't any cars at all.
