upon reading the rules i came across the point that if a member is gone for a week or more (as current athena has been) without posting in the Absence board, (as current athena didn't) then your position is up for grabs. if i do end up getting athena, i will drop nike and keep my other character (artemis).

Athena has ivory skin and, in all regards looks like the frailest of maidens. Her dark raven hair is always in some beautiful style, usually of great complexity. With full lips and a pointed nose, Athena is capable of holding even her father, Zeus, with her silver eyed stare. Athena has the curvacious body of a woman in her twenties. The Goddess's favorite colors are light whites and silvers, meaning these are usually the hues she adorns. Athena, in an instant, can transform her appearance for battle. Now, with glistening silver armor, a sword and shield, she is the most intimidating and very frightening enemy you could get.

Personality Description: Athena is one of the few Olympians who cares with all of her might about her role as a Goddess. Whereas many of the Twelve are carefree and innocet, Athena is always working, even if it does not appear so. Due to her immense brain, Athena is capable of multitasking to the degree where she is talking to one person, while doing fifity other things that take extreme concentration to muster. Athena is serious, rarely showing humor, but when she does it is very dry and usually hurtful and cold. Athena doesn't show emotion very much, usually keeping a straight face and even tone. Many of her enemies beware, because if Athena creates a plan to kill them, it will not fail, and she will not stop until her foe is vanquished. Athena often speaks in riddles that confound her fellow immortals. When the Goddess speaks a riddle or creates a puzzle for a mortal to prove his worth, unless that mortal is very smart, witty or has a load of common sense, it can usually undo, and destroy them.

History: Throughout all of Greek and Roman Mythology Athena's creation is by far the more abnormal. Even with all of the other creatures of the Mythological world none is more interesting or odd as that of the birth of the Goddess of Wisdom.
One day, on Mount Olympus Zeus, the King of the Gods had an incredible headache. The sky swirled with menacing thunderheads as he groaned and moaned, his voice booming in the form of thunder over all of the world. Finally, when Zeus could indure pain no longer, the Thunder God had Haphaestus stick his skull with the God of Metalwork's Mighty Hammer. The impact cracked Zeus's skull and Athena jumped out of his head fully dressed in armor and ready for battle. The Goddess of Wisdom was forged out of the thoughts of Zeus himself, and she serves her father faithfully, usually giving councel with him to help him run the earth.
