okay this is just an idea, don't know if you are interested but, say someone wants a character (cannon or original, doesn't matter) to be taken or applied for. Well they fill out the bio leaving the about the RPer and the description open for the other person to fill out. If they take a pre made bio, they keep the bio for two weeks before they have to reapply in their own words. This allows them to get a feel for the character if they are a first time RPer. If some one looks at a Premade and wants to change parts of it they can but they still have to reapply but if they decide to make their own they don't. To avoid someone using premade and not telling anyone all premades written can be put in a password protected sub-board in the character section. PM staff and ask if there is a premade for your character. If there is they give you the password you copy paste and fill out the last few spots.
It can also be used fro starter characters

I've never heard about that, but sounds good. Do you have an example of premade bio like that, maybe?

Sorry I don't but it would be like any bio just with a few blank spaces. you leave the part about the RPer out because you aren't going to keep the app so the person taking it should fill that out.
You do the history by doing the research they might not be able to find. Personality and such in that column because it might be hard for someone to come up with ideas or is confused about how their character should act.
All they have to fill out that is original is the description and that is so that they can pic their own celebrity and describe how they want him to dress or what weapons he wants to use.

This sounds like a good idea. We might discuss about this in staff board. Though maybe it sounds a little bit confusing to use premade bio. But since this sounds like a good idea, we'll discuss it in staff board.
Wow, Ares, you're really full of ideas ;D

This is what a historical deities would look like. About the Roleplayer
Your name: How long have you been RPing? Where/How did you find us?
The Basics
Name: Ares Age: 28 Type: God Deity (if you want to play a non-Greek god): Greek Nationality: Non Applicable Powers: He can summon fire out of thin air and meld it to his will. He and change shape to appear human, animal, or even a non living entity such as red light and he can change the shape of others, less powerful beings like minor entities of nature, mortals, and servants on Olympus. He has immense strength, even so for a god. His skill with a weapons is unmatched by any, except for perhaps his father, his uncles, and his sister all of which are a fair match to his skills. His presence may, upon his will, evoke unprovoked fury from individuals of his choice although this power rarely works on fellow Olympians or Titans unless they have lost their focus or do not recognize his presence. This does not apply to minor gods and goddesses. He is immortal as all gods are and finally he can summon fiery boulders of rock, similar to meteorites and hurl then from the skies and split the Earth to create chasms, rifts, valleys, and canyons. Occupation: Non Applicable
Strike a Pose
Image of your character: Celeb you're using: Physical Appearance:
Feel the heartbeat
Personality Description: Ares is easily angered, incredibly proud, and overly arrogant. He is incredibly confident and fears nothing. He considers himself up to any challenge and able to overcome any enemy or obstacle. This can lead him into a trap or get him into a position that he cannot win. His anger is easily provoked as stated before and if someone is smart in speaking to him they can turn opinions on him by trapping him into a contradicting statement. They can provoke him into starting a quarrel. They can even change his point of view by angering him and making him defensive enough to change his ideals to get out of the corner he backed himself into. Now on the other hand, he is smart. Obviously not as much as his sister, but he knows strategy and is incredible at playing mind games with him opponents and loves to do so. It will be extremely difficult to play psychological mind games on him without his knowledge. When he supports an issue he becomes incredibly passionate about its success until there is no longer any issue to support. He also holds grudges for longer than most any other gods.
Now as for relationships between his fellow Olympians, he clearly despises Athena for trying to claim right in his realm. He is the god of war and that is final. He is on good terms with the twins, Apollo and Artemis, though as far as he is concerned, he shares a greater relationship with Apollo. He is on good terms with Zeus and Hera and although they are his parents, they seem to support Athena more often than him and he subtly resents them for it. Hades and he are on fairly good terms as they each have their own reasons to despise the man in charge and connect on this level. Poseidon, Demeter, Dionysus, Hermes, and Hestia are all have no bone to pick but him and as such usually stay neutral on his affairs and when they can’t they become the sway votes. However the final two Olympians, Hephaestus and Aphrodite each share a special place in his heart; one of savory love and one of immense distrust and hatred. He had taken Aphrodite as his lover, though she was already married to Hephaestus who blamed him for the theft of his wife.
Likes: War, Destruction, Pain, Mayhem, Chaos, Battle and the like. Oh and of course Sparta and Aphrodite. Dislikes: Peace, Hephaestus, ATHENA, ATHENS, Betrayal of him, and impudent mortals Weaknesses: His confidence, his anger, his pride, his lack of skill with a bow, and his keen ability to uphold grudges. Strength: His powers, battle, swordsmanship, ability to wield and use weapons efficiently, his strength, his ability to invoke fury in others, and war.
Story of my Life
Spouse/Lover:None/Aphrodite and others Marital status: single Family: Aside from the obvious Olympians, his sons Phobos and Deimos fight by his side in battle and are enigmas of fear and terror. His sister Enyo also accompanies him in war but rather than fight herself, she orchestrates the battles and the destruction they will unfold. His sister Eris favors him a great deal and had often in the past accepted Ares request to start boughts (spelling) on Earth and on Olympus. As of late she has refused contact and when she is met in person denies any plans but rejects any suggestions Ares makes.
History: Ares was born to Zeus and Hera towards the beginning of time, before man was created. As a child, Ares was focused on, surprisingly his studies. Unsurprisingly it was the study of war, weapons, and fighting. As he grew and man was created he never missed an opportunity to pick a side in a war and Athena quickly realized this. In almost every fight they were on opposite sides. As society developed to rival cities formed, each with their own military might and as Athens took Athena as their patron goddess, Ares had no choice but to endorse Sparta who had named themselves after his great blade Spathi. As the two cities waged war Ares and Athena rarely entered the battlefield as Zeus had forbidden the Gods from physically interfering against each other in the mortal world. So Ares had to find some other way to quench his boredom.
It came in the form of a woman… or rather a goddess. His sights fell upon Aphrodite, the goddess of love and beauty. Her arranged marriage with Hephaestus as an apology for thrusting him off the mountain was clearly not working out but her parents would not approve of her ending it with the unattractive cripple. When Ares sought her out she did not resist and they kept their relationship secret. Everything was working according to plan until Helios stumbled upon them one day in Hephaestus’s chambers. Alectryon was supposed to warn them when Helios, the sun god, was coming but he fell asleep and Helios went straight to Hephaestus. He built a net with which to trap the couple to prove their infidelity and when the time was right he sprung his trap and snared both in an intimate embrace. Then, suddenly all the other Olympians began to arrive and mock the couple for the position they were in, though many of their tones were riddled with envy. Angrily he stormed from Olympus and fled to Thracia where he created a city-state completely in his image in the mortal world. The men of the area became known nationwide as master warriors that fight to the death and with his pride renewed he returned to Olympus where he learned of Alectryon’s fault and turned him into a rooster cursed to crow at the break of dawn for the rest of his days so as never to forget the coming of Helios again.
This is what a custom would look like. As you can see the only difference is the history is made up instead of researched out and copy and pasted. About the RoleplayerYour name:How long have you been RPing?[/b Where/How did you find us?
The Basics
Name: Kaiman Age: 36 Type: Demi-God Gender: Male Deity (if you want to play a non-Greek god): None Nationality: Thracian Powers: He can summon a small chasm to lead souls to the underworld. He can else force the rocks of the earth to rise in protection or use them to attack. He has minor manipulation of fire and he can summon the dead to speak to or force them to attack on his behalf. However an overuse of his powers can leave to fatigue, migraines, stomach convulsions (puking), seizures, loss of consciousness, organ stress or failure, and death depending on the severity of the overuse. He knows his boundaries fairly well though. Occupation: Nomad/Vigilante
Strike a Pose
Image of your character: Celeb you're using: Physical Appearance:
Feel the heartbeat
Personality Description: Kaiman is a loner. He has never wanted the spotlight and there fore has never received it- in the sense you are thinking. He has always been shunned, avoided, teased, and humiliated by almost everyone he has ever come into contact with. Somehow they could sense that there was something off with this boy. This made him bitter towards everyone he met. He rarely feigns towards friendship and only remains with others if necessary to meet his own ends and then he makes sure they separate. However, he was raised on the value of life and how great a gift it is. And so he decided to spend his life righting wrongs, helping the needy, and shaming the greedy.
Likes: Being alone, his father, his mother, and good people (though he doesn’t show it and leaves before such an assumption is fully developed most of the time) Dislikes: Dishonest, Greedy, Lazy people Strength: His powers, his strength, Combat, moral dilemmas, travel, survival, hunting, Weaknesses: His vengeful nature is difficult to over come, his lack of companions, his resistance to accept help or credit, overuse of his powers, Speed, and he has never taken interest nor been good with Women.
Story of my Life
Spouse/Lover:Neither Marital status: Single and not looking Family: Mary is his mortal mother and Hades is his father. History: Kaiman was born to Mary in the kingdom of Thracia in a small village. As there was no mortal father the town viewed his mother as well… (Do I need to spell it out for you?) For this reason the people of the village often steered clear of the mother and son and when they couldn’t they jeered them endlessly. Still Kaiman’s mother raised him to value life but to let people’s actions determine whether they deserve the gifts they are given. When Kaiman was nearing manhood in his teens his mother passed on. Kaiman knew that no one in the village would take him in or make life on his own any easier so he left the village and later decided to leave the kingdom.
Late in his twenties, he stumbled into a cave and continued going farther down and farther in. Suddenly he found himself in the Underworld. He pathetically laughed at the irony of a person with nothing to live for being able to stumble upon the one place in the world where he would feel at home; with those who cannot live for anything. He ventured through and paid Charon’s toll, figuring he might as well save himself the aggravation of going in pain and choose his time to go. He lined up with all the other souls awaiting review from the judges of the Underworld and when it is his turn a slight heat filled the room. His gaze was diverted to the floor and he refused to make eye contact. That’s when he heard it. “Son, your life is not over.” He looked up and realized it was Hades who spoke.
Kaiman was speechless, unsure if this was their way of starting his punishment. Maybe he had been evil, like everyone said and his punishment was to be told untruths for all eternity and be forced to believe them or something of the sort. Hades stood and beckoned him. “Come son.” Kaiman followed not wanting to offend the god and they stopped in his palace. There the truth finally set in.
“I am your son?” Kaiman asked Hades. He nodded. Kaiman then decided he would stay in Hades kingdom forever. Hades knew of course that he could not without eating but he allowed the man to think so for a time. One day Kaiman approached Hades and asked, “Father, if I am your son, does that mean I have powers in or of your realm? I have heard of son’s of Zeus being able to conjure lightning bolts so I was curious…” Kaiman knew it sounded greedy and childish but he was curious as to what being a demi-god truly meant when it came to abilities.
“I do not know how much of my power you can control but you are entitled to much of it.” Hades said as Kaiman’s eyes glowed. “But control, my son, is the key word. If you try to use too much power it will kill you and then, what would be the purpose?” Kaiman understood what he meant and nodded.
“Will you teach me to control my powers so that I can use them for good?” Kaiman asked.
Hades chuckled. “How can you tell what is good?”
“There are just so many entering today that either head for Tartarus or Asphodel. It is so rare to find a good soul and the furies can only punish the wicked. But I, I can do the right thing. I can help the helpless and convince the evil to change out of kindness, not fear. The other mortals are living in the moment not realizing the future that is to come of their actions.” Kaiman said almost desperately.
“I see.” He said. “Well I will do what you ask under the condition you leave my realm to do so. You cannot help the living among the dead and you cannot remain here without eating forever or you will turn into a soul yourself.” Kaiman agreed and Hades taught him. He left the underworld to get food and bring it to the underworld so that he could be full of energy when he was to be taught. This went on for years with Kaiman staying in the underworld only ever for a month at a time and then leaving for two. As Kaiman approached 30 he and his father agreed it was time for him to start his journey
Ever since then, he has been traveling Greece, returning to and revisiting the city state kingdoms. In some he has unintentionally built up a reputation among its people as a hero. In others he is a nuisance. It all depends on who he helped and how he helped them where. Occasionally he will visit his father in the underworld, the only true place he feels at home. He ignores attempts to force him out of a city along with requests that he spend the night in someone else’s home. He never practices sparring with another human being as he sees no reason to fight someone without a reason even if it is for practice. However he may be caught practicing in the forests or by the shore when he thinks he is alone.

I think that the idea could work, but also that it should just be an option. Some rpers like to do their own bios because it gives them some creative freedom. But on the flip side, like you said, some rpers don't know what to put down for their charrie and would need a premade bio.

that's the thing, even if there is a premade for the character you want, you don't have to use it, and if there is you don't have to use all of it. If you know you want Ares to be misunderstood you can change the personality so it suits you. But if you use the premade, you can only keep the character for two weeks before you have to make your own.

OK, now that makes sense , but I'm not sure if we could have passworded board stuff in character creation board. So there will be 2 bio forms? One for premade one for non-premade?

I'm pretty sure you can have a password protected sub-board but if not you can just hide the board and give the new members the link.
And actually you just need Premade guidelines so people who make it can know how to make one or what to put in it. It is sumbitted to you, you accept everything they filled out and make sure they haven't filled out the two sections and then repost the thread with the character name and only the name in the title with credit given to the creator.

OK, thanks nice idea, but I'll keep this as pending idea, if you don't mind. We'll sure to use this idea but not sure when, probably soon.
