For hundreds of years, theories of twins with magical powers sparked controversy amongst mortals. There were those who believed that twins were connected from birth and then there were those who believed that it was nonsense. Of course, these mortals never had heard of the prophecy, and why would they? They're mortals after all. It was the prophecy of the Apocalypse Twins. The prophecy was a strange one, something that even witches thought was an old wives tale, but could the prophecy be true?


The prophecy is as follows:
"The connected shall soon disappear without a trace, unable to be found. The connected are one and one is all, their power is unmatched. When the two are one, their power may destroy everything in sight or save the world from an unfortunate fate. But beware ... for there is always the other side of which we know nothing about." So what did this mean? The Charmed Ones spotted this prophecy one day in the Book of Shadows, but dismissed it as nothing. They had no idea what this prophecy really meant.

So the Charmed Ones ignored the prophecy and went on with their lives, each of them having more children or some of their own. As a gift from the heavens, the ones they had lost have been revived. Prue and Andy soon wed and have their own children. Their grandmother and mother are also revived and given a second chance at life. One day, something terrible happened. Piper's twin girls were kidnapped, just like the prophecy predicted. This still didn't phase Piper, until Phoebe remembered the prophecy. Piper was still skeptical, but as the days went on, Piper began to believe more and more of the prophecy.


Fourteen years have passed since that day, the girls each found loving families, but soon the girls started to notice something. They each had powers that they could not explain, and they each continued to grow more and more powerful as the years grew on. Melinda was living with her two adoptive parents, Abigail and Emil Thomas. Her mother was a wealthy lawyer and her father was a wealthy private practitioner. Mia ended up living with a very kind mother who was a detective on the east coast. In fact, she and her mother Clare were both neighbors to a certain officer from San Francisco, and Clare was his partner. The officer known as Daryll Morris.

Unable to even locate the twins, magically or otherwise, Mia and Melinda continue on with their lives, not even knowing about each other or their real families. And to make matters worse, a prophecy has also been fulfilled in the Underworld. Born to the Source of All Evil are his own set of twins, Luke and Lucy Hulstin. Aside from the Source trying ever so hard to locate the said Charmed powers, unbeknownst to the Halliwells, he just may finally have his own unstoppable arsenal to thwart any chances the Charmed Ones may have.
