Alphas: The popular, rich, gorgeous New Yorkers. Their parents own factories, mills and multiple acres of land. They get the best dorms, school supplies, teachers, everything. Their millionaire 'rents pay for them to go into Sunset Heights as Alphas, and what do we get?

Betas: The sloppy seconds. They come here on scholarships, or their parents just manage to scrape up enough money to send them to prestigious Sunset Heights. They get the spare soccer balls, minimum wage teachers and a single throw pillow each. But it's all fair, says the government. Money is power.

The thing is, they just couldn't stand for it anymore. Last year, the Betas took over, and all hell broke loose. Has the school changed? Did it all go back the way it was over the summer? The answer is yes. But the Desolators, as they are called, have started to rise once more. They are the originals who started the revolution and will again. The Alphas are going down.

Amidst all this chaos, life still goes on. Other than the corrupt system of Alpha rule, Sunset Heights Academy, a boarding school for both boys and girls, is normal. There's still bad boys, good girls, and raging hormones. When everything's already running wrong, why can't anyone be right?
