It's been several years since the Volturi paid their visit to Forks. Reneesme is now 16, and has decided to come back to Forks to attention her last few years in high school. Jacob followed, along with the Cullen family, they're back in the house just outside of town, just where no one will bother them. Atleast, that's what they thought.
Towards the end of their stay in Alaska Reneesme caught the attention of a hunter. He glimpsed her in the local mall and once he got close enough became very curious about her blood. He trailed her back to her home though was smart enough to stay back so the others couldn't sense him, then followed her back to Forks. Where he realizes she is protected by not only vampires but werewolves too. This facinates him and he soon desides that the game, he will either have her to himself or no one would have them at all.
