We are set between the Frostbite and Shadow Kissed. Mason has just died at the hands of a Strigoi and Lissa and Christan are going strong. Adrian is harassing Rose wake and asleep and her Field Test is right around the corner. Rose has been able to keep her feelings for Dimitri somewhat hidden away but she's not sure how long she can hold out. Then there's the ghost of Mason going around haunting her.
What's a girl to do when the person she loves is off limits, one she cared for died right before her, and one she wants nothing to do with won't leave her alone?
