Personality Description: Depending on what mood she's in, Aphrodite can be gentle and loving. On the other hand, she has a very short fuse and can often lead to trouble when crossed. She's independent and hates having her free will taken away

History: It's varied. She doesn't even remember correctly. Some say that when a piece of Uranus fell into the sea, it created sea foam. After a few days and nights, she emerged from the it. Another story says that she just suddenly came from a giant shell without any sense of origin. She was born as she is, and hasn't aged since.
Forced Marriage: Zeus urged her to marry the ugly fire god Hephaestus, but she refused. The issue kept being pushed on her until she saw a perk in the marriage: no one would control her; she'd keep her independence. Aphrodite finally married Hephaestus, but never did she love him. Instead, she used her freedom to secretly find more and more lovers.
A Son's Challenge: When her son, Eros, fell in love with a mortal princess named Psyche, she instantly dissapproved. In order to break the couple, she turned Eros into a monster to scare Psyche away. Only at night could he be seen as his normal self. When Psyche spied on Eros one night while he slept, he was enraged and sent her to wander the world in misery. However, hurt by his love for Psyche, Eros begged to Zeus to make Psyche immortal. The two were wed in the end. Aphrodite still dissapproves.
The Golden Apple: During the marriage of King Pelues of Troy, which Hera, Athena, and Aphrodite were attending, the three goddesses asked Paris to judge who was the most beautiful. Each bribed him with different gifts. Hera offered power, Athena offered victory in every battle, and Aphrodite offered Helen, the most beautiful woman in the world. He chose Aphrodite.
