Image of your character:
Celeb you're using: Rosario Dawson Physical Appearance: Like most immortals Tisiphone can shift her form at will, however unlike most of the other deities this serpent haired woman stays mainly in a body that she has created for herself so that she does not frighten those who happen to see her. Shimmering brown eyes of Tisiphone’s lovely mask stare out at you from behind thick, black lashes and if you can rip your gaze away from that sarcastic gleam in her amber eyes you’ll find yourself taking in a combination of harsh yet captivating features. Her skin is slightly tanned and her lips are full and lush, lips made for her cruel smile. Framing her sickly sweet face is a thick set of dark brown, nearly black locks that stop just at her shoulders and is often left where it lay. The hair of this celestial being seems to have a mind of its own swaying this way and that, even against the wind and that’s partially because her hair is alive but those who have never seen her real form have only seen these wild strands for what they truly are when her rage is at its peak.
The body of this twisted immortal in her less frightening figure is sleek and somewhat muscular putting some power behind her fist when she plows it into your face. However this body does have its flaws. Her ankles, boney and weak, are often sprained or twisted if they’re bent slightly in the wrong angle. This Achilles heel of sorts is the reason that this eternal being had a set of silvery plates that are usually attached on the outside of her ankles, and a smaller pair placed on the inside all bound together to help support and protect her spot of weakness in both battle and in her everyday life. These glittering accessories have singled out Tisiphone even when she ventures out to mingle among the mortals, which is extremely rare. Yet those who are close to the gods might be able to pinpoint the avenger of the slain from her armor.
Of course this is only one face. The wicked woman’s real body is both frightening mix of aspect meant to strike terror into her victims. Her flesh still has the same dark tint to it yet it is often dotted from the crimson that flows from her eyes. Blood, warm and dripping from Tisiphone’s now entirely red eyes form two streaks of dismal tears. Her gaze is enough to make the condemned quake with fear. Yet even more terrifying then her bloody gaze would be how her hair flips and twist wildly, hissing and striking out any those who happen to annoy the goddess. Her lush and thick hair would be adorned with a nest of slithering venomous snakes and her appearance would be similar to that of a gorgon. These serpents freely torment those damned to be left with the Erinyes in Tartarus for their wicked actions in life. Still if the fiery Tisiphone is calm the scaly beasts lay back against head almost taking upon the appearance of a crown. To top off her malicious appearance a set of huge wings sprout from her back, strong enough to easily carry her and three others back to the deepest pits of the underworld. While the presence of these massive wings is absolute the appearance of them depends on the fate of those she’s meeting. If she comes in peace and the souls of those are safe from her wrath then this Erinyes’s wings are feathery and soft but if Tisiphone has come to drag some sorry soul kicking and screaming into her domain then the powerful wings appear to be that of a bat, leathery and black.
●● the voice within
Personality Description: Tisiphone is one of the three Erinyes, making her part of the trio that stands for the rightness of things in this world. She herself is the cruel mistress charged with the task of punishing those who murdered their fellow man. Some of her fellow immortals have whispered that thousands of years of keeping those damned in Tartarus in constant agony has made the blood soaked deity harsh, callous, and malicious and they are completely right. Surrounded by the screaming bodies of mortals that suffer eternal in her realm Tisiphone couldn’t help but grow to enjoy coming up with new and atrocious ways to punish the fallen humans, ways that have made the blood of the gods themselves run cold. With her mighty whip in hand the dreadful Tisiphone has earned her places as the fiercest of the Erinyes.
As fiendish and inhuman as she may seem the viper haired vindicator does have something that may resemble a heart. She has a lovely for beauty, whether it is the natural beauty of a young man or woman or some of the breathtaking architecture that the delightful little mortals have come up with. If the persons among the crowd are not marked for her care then Tisiphone acts rather indifferent toward the lot of them. She’ll pass by them ignoring their faults and petty crimes seeing only their lovely faces and the beauty they had created around them. This blindness to their individual defects can easily come tumbling down. Rudeness toward her in any way is enough to coax out her fiery rage and the demonic whip along with it. This short temper and violent nature has doomed many gorgeous people and objects over the years to some horrible. However they vexed her Tisiphone has not taken the life of someone who has not already been marked by their deeds.
Tisiphone, long associated with the punishment of the wicked, has been called upon by men and gods alike to act against some malevolent wrong-doer. With great speed she will emerge from the deepest pits of hell to the aid of those who dare to summon the vicious goddess. It is her duty to punish those who turn their blades on the innocent and when called to force the criminals into an early grave Tisiphone will perform the action without a single drop of remorse. While she is seen as one of the few deities you can absolutely rely on her cold-blooded ways have made the thought of summoning her something only fit for the desperate or the insane.

●● story of my life
Spouse/Lover: None Marital status: Single Family: History: The Erinyes were one of the few gods who lasted through the rise and fall of the Titan Cronos and still continued to go about their business once his son Zeus took the throne. It’s not surprising that Tisiphone, who is such a violent woman, and her two sisters Alecto and Megaera were spawned from a barbaric act of son against father. Cronos, taking a mighty sickle in his hand castrated his father Ouranos in one terrible swoop and then cast his manhood into the sea. From the drops of blood that fell from the wounds of the divine body sprouted the wicked Tisiphone in all her vengeful glory. Setting to work immediately the Erinyes cast themselves into the deepest pits of Tartarus and when they weren’t stalking the living they were punishing their wicked guests with unthinkable horrors.
Most of Tisiphone's life was untouched by the frivolous bickering or drama that went on between the gods and mortals far above her nightmarish home. However no one is safe forever. Emerging from Tartarus and walking upon the land of mortals the infamous Tisiphone laid bloody eyes upon perhaps the most handsome man she had ever seen. Cithaeron had killed his father and thrown his brother from the top of a rock killing him as well brought forth the wrath of Tisiphone who decided to spare the man because of the love she felt for him. The young man who was already well acquainted with the gods and their promiscuous ways knew little of the Erinyes and their spiteful ways but once he became aware that the wrath filled Tisiphone had fallen for him he knew he would never want a creature such as her. Crushed and unable to handle the hatred the mortal man showed toward her the goddess took a lock of her hair and transformed it into a large and poisonous snake that promptly bite Cithaeron. With the death of the beautiful young murderer thus ended Tisiphone's first and so far last dealings with love.
One of their most noted, and probably most confusing, steps into the spotlight had been the tormenting of a young man by the name of Orestes. This poor mortal, guided by his sister Electra and the god Apollo, murdered his mother Clytemnestra because she killed their father King Agamemnon who in fact had murdered his daughter and Orestes’s sister, Iphigenia. Seeking refuge from the Erinyes who only saw the man for wicked being who destroyed the very woman who gave him life Orestes rushed to Apollo’s new temple in Delphi but even the god of the sun could not protect him from the fury of the three goddesses. Sending him to Athens under the protection of Hermes, who had casted a spell to lull the demonic women to sleep and stop their flood of madness, yet when the ghost of the slain mother raises the Erinyes they pick up the scent of her blood on his hands and follow him into Athens. Right before Tisiphone was about to pounce on the poor unfortunate soul Athena stepped in and called for a trial which eventually set Orestes free from their torment.
Retreating from the spotlight Tisiphone remains mostly glued to her task of stalking the living casting them into insanity and mutilates the souls locked in the Erinyes’s personal section of hell. Coming up with new torture methods, guarding the gates of Tartarus, and keeping up with her duties in the mortal world has left her little time to deal with the wars that have wreaked havoc among the immortals around them. Personally she’d like to keep it that way. . .
