' ' STRIKE A POSE

Hair: Golden
Markings or Scars: One on his right shoulder on the back but is barely visible since he normally wears a robe or cloak to cover it.
Body type: Muscular
Clothing: A typical Greek male gown that reaches almost to his knees and sometimes when he goes to war he wears his golden armour and helmet along with his sandals, bow, quiver with arrows and sword.
Overall Description: Apollo is a tall young man, tall enough to impose reverence and amazement among those who gazed at him, even the gods themselves. His light blue eyes seemed to contain the fury of the ocean itself as if Poseidon had seemingly grazed his breeding to compensate Hera’s constant tormenting to Leto, to stop her form giving birth to the mighty twins.
His sort of long, yet not too long curly golden-brownish hair graces his mighty stare and charms all those who gaze upon him regardless of that person’s sex; despite him being truly attractive there seems to be few luck or fellowship with Aphrodite for he has lived Ages of the World unloved. Though deep inside, he promised himself that one day he would come to love, even if it was a mortal man or woman, that person would love him as much as he would… one day…
LET'S GET TO KNOW YOU BETTER ' '
Personality Description: Apollo is a god that can surprise anyone, at moments he is reserved, few can truly know what he thinks or feels. Whenever he is on how own is when his restrictions are released and he can truly be at peace. After all those years of being taken for a person unworthy to be loved or cursed to be left alone, he knows or at least thinks that his dignity has fallen to the ground and would need more than simple charming words to regain respect.
However he is still proud and stubborn and any mortal who dares defy him but not only does he embrace mortal enemies in a challenge or punishment but he also opposes those divinities who stand against him or insult him in any way, for it is said that not all gods lived in perfect harmony and fellowship with each other. Of course he despised Eris and her siblings, but this also lead for him not to like Mars much nor anyone who would simply fight fir the sheer blood-spilling of it.
Likes: Sunlight, to go for long walks in the woods and meet with mortals though he must always remember not to get to know them too closely…
Dislikes: Darkness, being offended by mortals or any other deity in what comes to be his very pride, deeds or skills.
Strength: Creative, handsome, supportive of all the arts of civilization. He also has great skill with the bow and is very wise.
Weaknesses: If ever he comes to loving someone that very person is most likely to become his main weakness and so he pretends to be a lightly easy going person despite what he truly feels inside, and few truly know.
Fears: Not being truly loved since most of the women he has loved never loved him back and it has become a rather obsessive psychological persecution he must learn to overcome.
Goal: Reach fulfilment in life.
Powers/Abilities: Apollo possesses the conventional Olympian godly attributes of superhuman physical properties, vitality, and functional immortality. He has not aged since reaching adulthood, is immune to harm from conventional means of injury and cannot suffer from any Earthly disease. Should he sustain any non-fatal injury, his metabolism enables him to recuperate at a superhuman rate of speed. Apollo is somewhat stronger than the average Olympian god (Class 30) and can lift about 40 tons optimally.
Apollo also has other magical abilities including the ability to rapidly heal the injuries of other living beings. As the god of the sun he has the ability to radiate great heat and light at will which are comparable to the levels of a small sun. As a prophetic god, he can mentally foresee events in alternate futures and predict outcomes with a certain amount of accuracy. It was through his precognitive powers that he delivered prophecies to his Oracle at Delphi. Apollo can shape-change into other forms including those of persons and animals as well as travel between dimensions such as from Olympus to Earth. He can also cast spells that enable him to send disastrous plagues, inflict curses, or bestow certain powers on others as he did to the Trojan princess Cassandra. Apollo is a master harp player and archer and in his arsenal carries mystical arrows, some of which possess flaming auras at the tip that radiate solar heat and flame.

History:
Apollo is in many respects the paradigm of a Greek god. He represents order, harmony, and civilization in a way that most other Olympian deities cannot quite equal. One only has to compare him with Dionysos to understand how Apollo is depicted as a bright, rational counterpart to the chaotic and frenzied god of wine and women. Indeed, Apollo is most often associated with the cultivated arts of music and medicine, and his role as the leader of theMuses establishes him as a patron of intellectual pursuits.
Therefore, it comes as no surprise that in art, images of Apollo represented the height of male attractiveness - indeed, for years, Archaic statues of youths were commonly referred to as "Apollo", later to be replaced the more accurate term "kouros" (young man). However, as with most Greek deities, Apollo has characteristics that are myriad and diverse, so we should proceed to an exploration of this important god.
According to the Greek poet Hesiod (Theogony, 918-20), Apollo was the son of the OlympianZeus and the Titan Leto, and the brother of the goddess Artemis. And the details of how Apollo and his sister were born make an intriguing story, so let us look at this legend more closely.
The myth of Apollo's birth includes another instance of the wrath of Hera. Again, the wife of the philandering Zeus discovered that her husband had impregnated yet another goddess, and this time it was the Titan Leto. In her anger, Hera would not allow Leto to bear her children (remember, she was pregnant with the twin gods Apollo and Artemis), and the land itself was afraid to provide a shelter for Leto because of the fear of Hera's notorious retribution. Finally, Leto found an island that was willing to allow her to give birth, and this island was named Delos (which means "brilliant", and, incidentally, inspired the epithet Delian) in honor of the divine site. Apollo was then cared for by Themis, who fed him nectar and ambrosia for a few days, after which time he was an adult capable of assuming the full responsibilities of a god. And this is the story of how Apollo was born in Greek mythology.“Your altars wear flowers in spring-all the pied blossoms that the Hours bring forth when the west wind breathes dew, and in winter the sweet”
- Callimachus
Shortly after his birth on the island of Delos, the precocious god Apollo embarked on his first adventure. In a beautifully lyrical passage of the Homeric Hymn to Apollo, the handsome young divinity is depicted traveling the earth and then ascending to Olympus, where he charmed the gods and goddesses with his music. The goddesses - including the Muses,Charites (Graces), Horae (Seasons), Aphrodite, Hebe, and Artemis - were especially fond of Apollo, and they sang and danced to welcome his arrival. The god then retired from the company of his fellow Olympians to begin a quest to locate the appropriate site for an oracle.
After searching far and wide, Apollo finally found a place that pleased him. He informed Telphousa, the resident nature spirit, of his intentions to build a temple at her sacred spring, but the nymph discouraged him from this plan. Telphousa instead suggested that Apollo select Delphi as the site for his shrine, and the god therefore left the spring and continued his journey. Near Delphi, Apollo encountered and killed the enormous serpent Python (the god's priestess was named Pythia to commemorate this event). According to some sources, this in part is the mythological explanation for how the oracle of Apollo was established at Delphi.
In addition to defeating Python, Apollo also conquered, in various ways, several other notable mythological figures, including the satyr Marsyas, the giant Tityus, and the children of Niobe. Indeed, the god and his sister Artemis together punished both Tityus and Niobe as a form of revenge for the insults these characters had made to their mother Leto.
Apollo was, however, not just a fighter - like many of the other Olympian gods, he was a lover as well. See the Mythography page about the loves of Apollo (link below) to learn more details about his legendary lovers and his many amorous conquests.
The Greek god Apollo is legendary in mythology for his love affairs. From his fruitful flings with Coronis and Calliope, to his notorious pursuit of Daphne, the objects of Apollo's desire are the stuff of myth and legend. However, the god of archery sometimes missed his mark, and fell in love (or was it lust?) with the wrong person. These tales of unrequited love read like a who's who of mythological mishaps - but they are also some of the most compelling stories in Greek mythology. The list that follows includes some of the loves of Apollo.
Cassandra | Apollo gave Cassandra the gift of prophecy, but when she refused to return his affections, the god's gift became a curse
Calliope | the lovely Muse Calliope is traditionally credited with bearing one of Apollo's famous offspring, the poet and singer Orpheus
Coronis | this mortal woman became the mother of Apollo's son Asklepios - but her relationship with the god had tragic consequences
Daphne | the nymph Daphne earned her place in Greek legend when she fled from the unwelcome advances of Apollo
Hyacinthus | a handsome youth who caught the eye of Apollo, Hyacinthus also became the unfortunate victim of a deadly accident...
Sibyl of Cumae | the legendary Sibyl of Cumae became the victim of Apollo's anger when she rejected the god's amorous attentions.

Athens was considered by many a blessed real which had been favoured by the gods in many ways. Some even thought they loved this quiet and beautiful land. But mortals always loved an feared beauty the way they loved and feared life. Since most mortals were exposed to actions that could awaken the rage or hate of the gods. That is the main reason Athens preserved her loyalty toward the gods to prevent ill from happening.
That might be the main reason the King always made sure his people always honoured and worshipped the gods as they deserved to be. But he also induced this to his wife and daughters. Though his wife always seemed arrogant and somewhat proud and this awoke a fear in the heart of her husband and daughter they never dared to show.
One afternoon, the King and his daughter went of a walk among the beauty and kindness of Gaia who had graced Ethiopia with delights and harmony. They walked in silence until they reached a beautiful waterfall that seemed to contain all the colours in the world, both smiled but it was Cepheus who interrupted such silent contemplation and then said to his daughter, "I have to say you make me proud everyday, my child, but never forget the place everything has in this life." He looked around them and then said motioning to nature and the animals that passed by, "from the trees and animals to the men and women who were blessed to live in these lands. but never forget that above all reside the will and might of the gods."
Alconoe smiled and then said, "indeed, my beloved father, I hold respect and awe at their glory, but is the world to always go round?" He turned to look at her a bit confused but then the whole world seemed to turn into colourful flowers and trees. She opened her eyes and smiled, she always enjoyed nature in a way she would fall asleep in the wild in the middle of reading a book. She sighed, hopefully her mother would not panic and send the whole army to look for her.
She stood up and slowly stretched her arms as she felt rested. She turned to look at the waterfall as the sun shone upon it and smiled, with such beauty she did not wish to go back into the castle and finish her daily chores.
