Like all places, Heroine Heights is nothing without its citizens. There is a richer, better part of town with high class, sometimes snobby inhabitants, and there are the ghettos and shady places no one wants to be but can afford. Lately, Heroine Heights has been divided into two parts: the North and the South. The rivalry between the two divisions used to be in good nature, only created for two high schools which could serve as town rivals since that seemed like the Hollywood thing to do. Over the years, the competition has created more and more tension and soon enough, people began to see the forming of what Heroine Heights is today. No one stopped it. Why would they?
In Northern Heroine Heights, there are bigger homes and pricier cars, as well as a better school and overall community. Most people feel safe leaving their homes unlocked and are closely knit with their neighbors and friends. Everything seems more expensive in Northern Heroine Heights, but that’s not a problem because most of the people who live there have some direct relationship to a wealthy doctor, lawyer, government official, or are just wealthy in general. For some time, Northern Heroine Heights has been trying to become a separate town from its southern counterpart, hoping to take on the name Heroine Hills instead.
However, Southern Heroine Heights has been determined that if it has to go down, all of Heroine Heights will follow it. One of the fatal mistakes a person can make is simply walking around alone, especially after sunset. Ghettos, gangs, and girls (just guess what they’re for) are everywhere. Everything is cheap and its quality is cheaper, but that’s all that these people can afford. There are some brilliant people in Southern Heroine Heights who deserve to live in the Northern section, just as some Northerners deserve to be in the Southern section, but not everything goes into play as fate should have made it.
The town’s history has all come down to this year. Legislation is making its way up the ladder to legally make Northern Heroine Heights its own town: Heroine Hills. Tension has never been tighter between the Northern and Southern districts, but now relationships are being destroyed, prejudice is enforcing the class system, the crime rate is climbing, and very few people know what to do. Maybe the reality of it is that no one really knows what will become of the Hills-Height controversy and the only outcome will be family against family, friend against friend, and the destruction of anything beautiful, peaceful, and civil in Heroine Heights. All that’s left is to see where events lead, who leads them, and try your best just to stay alive.
