It's the dawn of a new era in world history. People have explored and colonized the islands they live on and are now seeking to expand. Most of the world is unexplored and the royalty in many countries are hiring people to explore it so that they may colonize new lands and become more powerful.
That's not the only major change the world is facing. Many trade routes have been opened in the past few years, which practically created a new profession: pirates. They have become a major problem, and the leaders of the world are getting more and more annoyed with it. The size of the navy and the police force has nearly doubled.
