I certainly love the movies! Especially the last one. But in books, I must say that Harry Potters are better (I don't read the books but I know that because people are more dying to wait for new Harry Potters instead of new LOTR), but in movies, I must say that LOTR are better. Let's say that LOTR is adult's favorites and Harry Potter is for teens.

I actually prefer the LOTR movies and the storyline to Harry Potter. LOTR revolutionized medieval fantasy because it was so original, it is practically impossible for authors to totally defirentiate themselves from the storyline of the original in the series. Harry Potter simply brought the Fantasy genre mainstream. Harry Potter certainly was original but as hard as anyone tries they can never quite take what it was and turn in into their own famous series like so many other series have with the Tolkien storyline. The Inheritance Cycle comes to mind. There are dozens of great books out there with the whole elf human dwarf conflict and many that have thrown in the dragons as a major plotline. And yet each one is still interesting without being a spin off.

wicked and charmed not so much but everything else I like as well. It really stinks that DH hasn't had any new episodes recently. its my guilty pleasure.
Unfortunately Heroes has lost a lot of respect in my book recently. I just saw an advertisement for the new season of Heroes. Claire and her dad are talking. "Honey, I used to work for a really big, bad company." "Yeah dad I know." "Well there we found people who had powers and we put them away so they couldn't hurt anyone. Some of them escaped........... Claire they were villains."
Really guys? you couldn't think of a better plotline for the most original show since Lost other than to add Villains to the show Heroes. Why that is so unpredictable none of the fanboys ever thought that up! good grief!

About Heroes, I must say I'm quite surprised to see Claire's new appearance. Have you seen her in new season yet? She looks gothic and I think Hayden has dyed her hair (from blonde to deep auburn). o,O
