Every once in a while I get like that and I just have to get it out of my system for a little while... then I'm back with the majority of the population saying stuff like "C'mon Dude!" or "lol... LOL!"

Basically if you look at us as a species, or as an animal, we care about ourselves so much that is reflects onto how we treat others. (How do I want to be treated if that were to happen to me). The whole saying "I feel sorry for you." Is usually better retold as "I'm glad it didn't happen to me but you didn't deserve it either."
Make sense?

Like I said before (but not in so many words) I get a need to express some overly civilized big word speech of mine. Its the reason I might be taking Philosophy at a summer camp for people have nothing better to do during their summer so they run back to school early before they remember they don't like school lol.

Oh my... I'm so sorry to hear that... We're all in Olympian Tales going to miss her. She's a good member and she has participated and contributed a lot. I'm going to pray for her. I'm sure she has struggled hard to fight her disease.
Sorry if this post is too short, I really don't know what to say because I just couldn't believe it this happens and now I have to go. I'll post more.

It fine Hera. I can't believe it either we still don't know what was wrong with her though. I should still get on but I might not post for while if that's ok, I just need something to calm my nerves and this site does that for me somhow.

I really don't know what to say. And normally I wouldn't even say that because it just sounds too redundant coming from both Hera and I so close together but I really just don't care. I'll be honest though, I thought that I was going to this thread and see everyone celebrating because Nike had come online herself to post. (Anybody remember the glass half full comment?) I guess it never really sunk in that the odds were against her. Which is actually hard to believe for me considering my grandmother passed away a few weeks before I joined this site and I had come to terms with it a while before.
I'm actually sitting here, getting a little choked up which is saying something for me. When I here about someone dieing on the news I never think twice and the closest I've come to meeting Nike is seeing the celebrity she picked out for her character and reading a couple of her posts. After talking with you... that just doesn't seem like it should be enough. I don't really know how to put this into my big word speech mode so I'll just say it. I'm sorry dude.
I know this is awful ironic considering you can quote me only a few posts back saying that people only ever said that because they were glad it didn't happen to them, but I wish I could say I have been there or I know what you are going through or could give you some tips on how to get through this but I don't because I have never been there, i've never been through this, and I don't know how to help. All I can do is resort to a simple, humble, and regretful, I'm so sorry dude.
For Helios: I was somehow surprised by this and I shouldn't have been. I wish I knew Nike better. I have no answers for you and all I can say is, I'm sorry dude.
You know? Leonard Di'Caprio never looked so depressing or depressed until now.

When Helios said it was over, I choked, really and he convinced with what he said with saying that he was working on her funeral.
It seems like yesterday when Nike joined this site and introduced herself in Helios' thread. I also remembered when she was looking for a celeb to portray Nike and last but not least, my last conversation with her. We were talking about how it was like having a twin sibling in Cbox.

Even though I personally didn't know Nike, since I came to the forum a bit late, I have to say there is a special connection between all the members of this forum and she was part of it. For what Hera and you have told me Helios Nike was a really sweet girl and I feel lucky for having been on a forum like this. I will pray for her but also for you and your mother. I am really really sorry for this and am sure it is a hard time for you and if you don't want to post in a bit we surely don't mind. But Helios I want you to know you have our support and that whenever you need us here we are. I know words cannot solve anything but they come from our hearts and we mean every word. And since I am sort of a fool of a writer myself, I was doing some reading and this made me think of Nike. This is a Mexican tradition for a beloved friend, and may this be in her honour: 'When winter passed, she came again, And her song released the sudden spring, Like rising lark, and falling rain, And melting water bubbling. He saw the elven-flowers spring About her feet and healed again He longed by her to dance and sing Upon the grass untroubling.' It is the Ballad of Beren and Luthien.
